So now that you know this is only an excuse post I could either make it very much an excuse post (per its purpose) by detailing the reasons for a lack of recent blog entries as well as listing other pertinent excuses for things not necessarily related to blog writing or I could do the courteous thing: excuse myself from this post while still fulfilling the general sense of an Excuse Post.
