The Bougainvillea Hideaway

Enter a hollow of leaves and fuchsia flowers. Random thoughts litter the floor like a bed of crushed petals.

This year it seems like December flew in a bit too early. Thanksgiving came and went and we decided to keep to tradition and put up our Christmas tree Thanksgiving weekend. The kids had been wanting to kick November out the door since that first week it had arrived and they are delighted that it's now December. I can't blame them. I felt that same way when I was much younger.

Still, with all the busy, mundane happenings and other stuff it just seems too early to decorate. All that said, tonight we put up some of our Dickens and Pine Isle pieces and it really was fun (Ronin has been asking to help unwrap the Dept. 56 stuff for days!). I had the kids open and place some of the smaller pieces tonight.

Just a few evenings of decorating left. I guess we take this Christmas decorating thing seriously! :)

Now we just need a little snow!

This one has beautiful pictures of winter:
