Labor Day
It ended up being better than we expected. We drove over to Andy's parent's house to celebrate the day. One of the things I really appreciate about Andy's mom is that she has the ability to make holidays festive. And that's something I'm not terribly good at.
Anyway, it was all casual with hot dogs and hamburgers and afterwards the kids played in the pool. Oona painted with Nans and Ro played with Grandpa in the computer room.
Andy and I were able to relax and read books (which is a rare event for us these days) on Nan's comfy new couch and also hang out with the kids when they came to visit us on the couch. And that's O'Neill Laziness at its finest! :)
It's times like today that make me really happy that Oo and Ro are able to hang out with their grandparents and are able to be close to them as well.
So, yup, it was one of the more fun Labor Days we've had in a while.
