More thoughts

There's something about these late August days when "summer's beginning to give up her fight" that leave me a bit blue. I look out the window at our neighbor's oak tree and imagine it in late September, and then again in October. Yes, fall is beautiful and winter has its beauty. But sometimes I wish it were late May or early June for a bit longer. That weather, at least around here, is just about perfect.

And in honor of the mood, here's some Fiona Apple (Pale September):
