The Bougainvillea Hideaway

Enter a hollow of leaves and fuchsia flowers. Random thoughts litter the floor like a bed of crushed petals.

Petals Swirl

Petals swirl and blow away. I talk too long about mementos.

Oona found a book on Kanji and Kana and Ronin found a pocket Japanese-English/English-Japanese (maybe it's the other way around) dictionary.

There's geta, and Teto, fig incense, brochures, and... the wind is taking petals with it. Petals, please stay for a moment. Origami hearts (Andy and Ronin folded them) are from the tent with various Japanese toys and laminated instructions for different origami creations.

Andy and I had Japanese soda. The soda bottle is similar to the ones I remember when I was in Japan. One difference is in how you open the bottle.

I'll wrap up our Washington DC Sakura Matsuri experience with one or two more posts.
