Skyline Trip

This past Friday we took our annual fall trip to Skyline Drive. It was fairly cold and cloudy. Last year the sky was a crisp fall blue. This year it was white. It's interesting to note all the differences from year to year. The Enchanted Forest had not changed to its bright yellow quite yet. Perhaps a week or so is all it needs.

Anyway, we didn't take any pictures even though we brought the camera (so I have no pictures to post :( ). We didn't even get out of the car to walk around in the woods like we usually do. We only got out of the car to visit one of the gift stores and to sit at one of the picnic tables for a few minutes. Even taking into account the temperature where we live and the slightly cooler temperature of Skyline, we weren't prepared for the chilly wind. The kids didn't even want to run around very much. Ah well.

We decided to watch Halloween movies Friday and Saturday night. It was good to see Lonesome Ghosts, Ichabod Crane, and Nightmare Before Christmas again!

Here's a Halloween cartoon favorite (I always enjoy watching and listening to the "Trick or Treat" song and the song sung for Donald Duck's feet) we used to have on a VHS copy of Ichabod Crane. It's not on our DVD copy. Enjoy!
