The Bougainvillea Hideaway

Enter a hollow of leaves and fuchsia flowers. Random thoughts litter the floor like a bed of crushed petals.

Westward

We suck the flask
the goatskin dries.

Discipline in rations.

Did you take me for a king
traveling in the dark?

We look for palmtrees, water
and throw the calendar away.

Where's the care in dates
when we're dying of thirst?

I stare at cracks, a wise
guy silenced.

Lead us to water.

Thanks! Your comments are appreciated.

I've got some more photos from a rainy- day hike at Skyline Drive. Will try and get them up soon.
