Sometimes when we O'Neills are grumpy (in the car), we listen to what we call the "Happy CD" or "Jambalaya". It's a bunch of songs that are basically oldies. Lately, the kids request it so much that it is losing its effect.
Here's one we rewind in order to listen to it again:
Here's another. Its bouncy sound, internal rhymes and alliteration are definitely fun. Beware the "bow" where the dogs are sure to sing along:
The lyrics always make me talk back in regards to the character's preference:
"Don't bury me in this prairie
Take me where the cement grows
Let's move down to some big town
Where they love a gal by the cut of her clothes"
I like 'em both. But that's just me (being sorta silly).
