Wind Speedy
I might be feeling brain dead when it comes to writing poetry these days (and that is annoying) but at least I felt like I got some stuff done today. Even though there are a million gazillion things that need to be done, I don't feel like the things-to-do are hanging over my head waiting to crush me.
It's nice to see that the weather is warming up and that green is beginning to pop up all over the place. I saw forsythias blooming yesterday. That always puts me in a good mood.
Thinking about the weather reminds me of a small science project that my daughter is working on. It has to do with tracking the weather. She created and decorated a chart to keep track of temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind speed (or wind speedy as my daughter wrote on the chart ;)), etc. It's been fun (for both of us) to compare the differences, and just to keep track of the weather. It hasn't been too windy at all and she wants to see winds that are more than what they classify as a breeze (and to see umbrellas turning inside out). We want to try doing a weather chart sometime when we take another trip out to Idaho. It's a heck of a lot more windy there.
I wonder what observations my son will have when he gets to that part of the science book.
