Pics from Williams Orchard, Amissville

An apple tree from Williams Orchard. If you look closely you can see rain drops on some of the apples.

We took the kids apple picking yesterday. I'd never been before. This is the road leading to the orchard. Andy and I wanted to take the scenery and small town feel and Dept. 56 it. The look of the area made me not want to go home.

I have a fondness for old wood and stone ruins framed by nature. This little brown shanty was sitting right next to the orchard. It's the sort of scene that would make a great wallpaper.

Oona searching for an apple without bruise or tear.

Oona placing an apple in the basket.

"I love apple picking!" "This is great!" Silly? Yeah. I'm a hyper puppy dog. It might not look like it here (me hyper puppying), but I really loved being in the orchard. Such a beautiful place. "Can I please not go home? Please? Please?!"

Ronin holding an apple, not minding the wetness of the overgrown grass -- for a little while, at least.

I was glad the kids enjoyed being here at the orchard. I wanted them to know this is what an apple tree looks like, this is what an apple hanging low on a branch is like. This is where the apples come from that we bag at the store. This is real. More hands on. Beautiful.
